MINI BETTER BLOCK - SATURDAY, MAY 19, 2018

Ever since the Bethel Better Block project in 2016, you've been asking when we'll do it again. We're excited to bring it back to showcase Bethel's tremendous progress since the first event, and to get your ideas about what more you'd like to see downtown. This event will be a "mini" Better Block - just one afternoon. But we'll make downtown Bethel hop!

SCHEDULE

All events are FREE and open to the public. Invite your friends! Food and drinks available for sale.

9:00-11:00 AM  Downtown beautification work party

Town Hall parking lot

Help with raking, planting, painting and pocket park cleanup. Bring tools (labelled!), work clothes & gloves.

2:00 - 7:00 PM   Mini Better Block

Babe's parking lot (formerly the depot)

Enjoy the best of Better Block, while checking out all the great projects and progress in downtown Bethel.

2:00-7:00 PM - Pop-up plaza with games, live music and fun in the parking lot at Babe's

2:00-5:00 PM  - Business open House & scavenger hunt at downtown businesses. Check out Bethel's newest businesses and business owners, as well as old favorites!

3:30 PM - Celebration of the Art on the River public art projects. Meet and hear from the three artists and learn more about their work.

4:00 & 6:00 PM - Tours of the art projects and streetscape improvements

5:00 PM - Tacos! 

7:00 PM    Stories of Bethel

Specific volunteer tasks include: leading beautification/cleanup tasks, helping to setup or take down the Better Block activities, telling a story at the eventing storytelling event, selling food or drinks, organizing a kids activity, etc.
